WORLD-PREMIERE Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Choirs will perform the world premiere of A Plastic Theatre, with text by Katie Schaag (24 March).
Premiere for Phoenix Chorale‘s Horizons concert series: “a journey to far-flung places via their cultures and landscapes, illustrated through tall tales and folk melodies from around the world, with a chance to discover award-winning Dubai-based British composer, Joanna Marsh with the 4th in our all-female commissioning series.”

My 20-minute piece SEEN was performed by the BBC Singers, Glen Scott (electronics) and Sofi Jeannin in the BBC Singers’ late-night Prom on Thursday, 7th September 2023. This was part of a programme of contemporary composers, including Daniel-Lesur and Soumik Datta. More information is available here.
Joanna Marsh’s All Shall Be Well (‘Without love we may not live’) presents a contemporary slant on radiance, Marsh’s harmonies and textures bright – shining, even.
A particular highlight is I take thee by Joanna Marsh (b.1970), its undulating breath-like movement a beautiful metaphor for life itself.
